an incredibly rare, working example of a Nintendo 64DD console. These were only released in Japan and are extremely hard to find, particularly in working condition. Also included with the machine are two 64DD games, modem cartridge, capture cartridge, a Japanese Nintendo 64 console and 13 Japanese N64 games (full list below). Background Information and Trivia
The Nintendo 64DD was originally released in Japan in late 1999. Nintendo had intended to release it earlier, but development was delayed several times and as a result the 64DD was late onto the scene, 3 years into the N64's life. Despite its capabilities, including expandable games and the ability to go online, Nintendo quickly dropped support for the device. As a result it was not released outside Japan, and only nine games were made available for it. Existing games in development were either cancelled or made into regular N64 titles.
